Many of these other Tokai guitar models were assigned different numbers within the same LS serial number ranges during production, every year up to and including 1985.ġ978 = 80xxxxx. Japan LS models have always had 7 digit numeric serial #'s (other than Custom shop orders and certain special issue models)Ī limited few LS models were produced outside the serial ranges posted below along with Explorers, Flying V's, Strats + Teles, Basses + Talbos usually at a production year end, so there may be a few examples falling outside of # ranges outlined below, other than the 2 digit year prefixes. The physical differences in these shared serial # prefix years, are outlined below the listed serial ranges.
